Someone emailed me and asked that I post this up for those interested.

quote:
Hello,

I'm not particulairly into poi, but I'm a fanatical chinese chainwhip (jiujiebian) practitioner. Since you listed all kinds of movies in here that have chain and other wushu stuff for some poi inspiration, I thought I might have something that interests you too...

On www.wushucentral.com they have a video section with lots of wushu demo's, as used in crouching tiger hidden dragon, shaolin temple, etc etc.

Be on the lookout for chain whip movies and stuff from the beijing wushu team who are unboubtely among the best martial artists in the world.

Also an interesting section is the "incredible feats" section, too bad it's poor quality but amazing stuff is shown here.

There are around 12 chain whip video's on this site, and they are really helpful. I learned most what I can today from them, because I live in Holland and I do practise wushu but there are no dutch people who could teach my anything with chain.

Greetings,

Peter Dekker

Here's an idea. Edit the subject to "and post others here" or something of that nature and people can post all the martial arts videos they find in this thread.

"Groetjes" or "De groeten", informal but friendly ways of ending an e-mail [Big Grin]

which you want? i can arrage for you to get it ... if you have the right blood type!
mua ha ha h ha ha!

4,021,594 9sectionwhip.avi
4,182,020 beijing97_chainwhip.mpg
5,300,228 ifckf_19_chain_whip.mpg
5,421,060 ifckf_25_chain_whip.mpg

7,750,094 Pablo AZ01 Chain Whip.mpg
6,709,252 someguy_9sectionwhip.mpg

the sound effects they added to some really compromise the credibility, otherwise, it is the best of the best in terms of competition footage.

the site is back up, some killer videos, and for all the rope dart fans, there are three pretty good quality videos and another meteor video which is used in the same way as a rope dart, search engine and everything.. search for rope dart, ropedart, and rd
