I set up an ftp with these videos and many others on it. There are 10 login spaces each requiring the same password.

I'm running the ftp off my home connection from MpoweredPC which is a dsl provider, and there isn't any total upload or download limit. I believe the line is rated at maximum 1.5Mbps download and approx. 350kbps upload.

wish my server worked like that but my host is a complete ass.
i just upped my bandwidth to 2 gb a month. which as you will know doesnt stretch far with big files.

The address is for use in an FTP (File Transfer Protocol) program such as CuteFTP, which can be found here. Click 'download now' under the name of the program to download it.

Nuts, I've been dying to see them for ages. I'm probably not gunna get to a broadband connection till the w/e. Do you think they'll still be there?

All the props should be to PK for making the vids in the first place, that's where the real work is involved. The ftp will almost certainly be up through the weekend and as long as people want what I have I'm willing to keep it up.

I finally saw it. Totally excellent. I really like your style of editing.

It's nice how each video shows me a new toy I haven't seen on video yet or not saw much of (messy had fire ropes and the extended wick staff, morningcoffee had aerotechs, and rubbish has spinning clubs) The spinning clubs look really cool/weird. Probably because I am used to seeing poi and seing clubs spinning sort of like poi and then doing things that are impossible with poi or clubs with finger loops is really cool.

PS-the music is awesome.

I tried setting up FTP links for people to use but for some reason it wouldn't work. We spent quite awhile trying to figure it out and gave up.

It stops working when I try to receive the directory listing...

It worked for me. =/ I just typed "ftp://[ip]" into IE and it took me right there. *shrug*

Is anyone else having problems with this. Every time I try connect it is either timing out or refusing to connect.

I have also tried connecting through dos 'ftp zzz.zzz.zzz.zz' to no avail...

Ok I give up, I'm never gunna get to see these. Is there anywhere else I can get this? I have tried at least 10 times to connect to this. I have tried using cute ftp, through IE and through dos. I've even tried to get to two computeriest dudes I know to help me to no avail. Keeps telling me it either can't connect, or it times out.

How big are these files? I could probably donate 10gb of bandwidth or so for downloads on my 100mbit server if people want.

If you just plain can't connect chances are the IP changed and you have to wait untill he updates it. Im not sure what is causing the other problems. His FTP software seem's pretty shitty. I think it's conflicting with his firewall othertimes.

great videos thanx to everybody involved in shooting, editing and sharing...i know the whole process of getting a vid out there can be a time consuming pain, so big ups to all the homies putting great stuff out there...

my contribution for now (before i post a video of all my submissions to the Jedi Council Move Arbitration Committee, aka JC-MAC, to be filmed when it gets warmer around these parts and i can go play outside again) will be in the form of technical ftp support i suppose...

if you can connect but are getting timed out before receiving the listings (ie your ftp client logs in but then you get an error message that takes forever to show up before being able to see any files on the server) chances are you can remedy the situation by looking in the preferences for your ftp proggie and disabling in there anything that says anything about passive connections...

meaning a non passive connection is what you want to have (since this particular server does not seem to support passive connections).

hope this helps, at least if that server ever comes back up...obviously if you have the wrong ip address you won't be able to hit it or log in at all...

It would be helpful for you, flid, to donate that space, as the computer that my ftp is being run on is the only one in the house, gets used constantly, and my connection has a dynamic ip (that's why the ip keeps changing). The reason the ftp has been down is it is quite limiting on what my family and I can do while it is running. My firewall has never been on while running the ftp, so no conflicts there.

*edit* Also, if people post here saying they want the video, I'll put the ftp back up.

The problem could be the firewall. My logs show you're trying to log on in passive mode so that may also be the problem.

Ok, if anyone has an problems downloading them, I've mirrored a few on my server in London. The connection speed is 100mbit, but due to being pretty much skint I can only donate 10gb of transfer this month, so when its used its used. Link is:

If you have a dynamic IP that changes a lot you could try using a dynamic dns name from http://www.dtdns.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=info.hosts that way when your computer changes IP you just update it with a little program on your computer and people just need the name which wont change.

Just checked out flid's site for the first time. Fire 1 through 4 are made by me, just a compilation of some of the movies I have. They are all the same file, just different sizes to compensate for different download rates.
