I started off using two socks with golf balls as my practice poi. Yeah, that hurt. Don't do that. So when my Ultra poi came in the mail, I was ecstatic! (As were several bruised parts of my body...) The poi are of simple construction, yet well made and are so much fun to use! The carry pouch lets me take them every where and whip them out when I get bored. The tails are much brighter than what the pictures depict and I'm always getting compliments on how cool they look. The only downside is that the tails can get tangled easily as do the poi themselves. I probably just need more practice, but with these poi, I'm looking forward to every minute of it!!

The rainbow version is BRIGHT - the picture doesn't do them justice. You WILL get noticed if you use these! They've stood up to being abused by a beginner, and they make even simple moves look fantastic once polished. :D

Bought these as a gift for a new poister but seeing them today makes me tempted to keep them....

The rainbow ones are very bright with velcro tail attachments. The string length is easy to adjust & the webbing finger loops are comfy. In the air, the poi fly cleanly with the super whooshy tail trailing behind. They're easy to keep on the planes so good for 'trainees'. They come in a neat HoP drawstring baggy to keep them looking smart. Another great product, cheers HoP!
